Totally Tilda Challenge blog DT call

hi Blogger friends!
Today I have made a card for the Totally Tilda Challenge Blog DT call. Something new for me.
You can't get on a DT if you don't try right? As I am a mad fan of Magnolia stamps I thought this would be the ideal DT to go for. They also don't mind where you live in the world and want eight people. So why not give it a go girls. You never know, you could be picked.
They are wanting a card using this photo for colour inspiration.

 

I decided to use two darling little angels. The first one is from the new Christmas collection called Little Christmas 2012. The second little angel is from Sweet Christmas Dreams collection 2011.

Saturated Canary Birthday girl

Hi blogger friends,
Today I have a card to show with a Saturated Canary Digi stamp. I love these stamps that are now coming out in rubber. I don't know the name of her. I looked on the site and couldn't find her so if anyone knows her name I would appreciate it. (Her name is Ava)

I made this card for my sister-in-laws birthday tomorrows. She is colored with ShinHan Twin brush markers. Love those markers. I made the flowers (nothing special). I have a Magnolia butterfly die on it and used a Spellbinder frame. hope you like it as I had fun coloring her.

Tilda and her Teddy

Hi dear friends,
Today I have Tilda with her Teddy. I'm not sure if that is what she is called. I couldn't see her when I looked. Maybe I should be writing it on my stamps.
I have colored her with my ShinHan brush markers.

Scooter tilda

At last another card. this is Scooter Tilda coloured with ShinHan twin brush markers. I am still getting used to them an need lots of practice.
The paper is from a pd called Hippie Chic (thank you Ruby). I also used memory Box dies called Madera corners and  a Spellbinder frame.

My DH is doing really well. He has some pain of course but never complains. A good patient.

Update on Doug for our friends

Just to let you know that Doug had his lung operation yesterday. He had two cancerous tumours removed and there was no sign of any other cancer. He looked so well after the operation but last night he wasn't feeling so well. I rung the hospital this morning and he is much better so I am happy about that.

Thank you for all your prayers. I really don't think either of us would be here without the prayer support.
It is so appreciated. We both have had secondary cancer that has popped up a couple of times. Each time we have scans we pray that it will be clear. We have been very fortunate that we have been able to have operations and chemo to remove the cancer.

We don't know yet if and when Doug will start chemo. Hopefully he won't be too sick this time.

      I took this photo for his daughters in New Zealand just  after he  came back from his operation.

He has his horrible hospital gown on. A nice shade of lilac.

Bear Hugs

My card today is made with the Magnolia Hobbie bear. Isn't he cute?
I used Promarkers to colour them. Leaves are a mixture of punches in my stash. the flowers are die cuts.
I distressed the edges with Antique Linen. MS around the corner punches were used as well.

My DH has his appointment with the surgeon next Tuesday so it shouldn't be long before his operation.
the waiting is always the hardest time.

Summer flower Tilda

It's a very wet cold day here on the Sunshine Coast. Great weather for crafting.
I have been busy making 80 wedding invitations and have finally finished them. Just have to make hundreds of table name tags now. Good fun.

My DH Doug will soon be having his operation on his lung so I have been busy taking him to the hospital to see the specialist and today he has an extensive breathing test. It should only be about a couple of weeks now before he goes to Brisbane Prince Charles hospital. He is on the urgent list so the sooner the better.

Today I have made a card using Summer flower Tilda  from the Summer memories collection.
I also used the wild strawberry and flower DooHickey and the Swirl Butterfly Doohickey with a little sparkle on it.
The papers are from Marjolaine paper pad Basic Grey.
 I colored Tilda with my Promarkers and Shinhan twin brush markers.

Miss Muu Muu

It has been awhile since I have posted anything. I have been looking after my DH. He is feeling much better and will soon be having his lung operation. The sooner the better I say.
Don't you just love Miss Muu Muu the cow.
I have made a very simple card and colored her with Promarkers.

It's been soooo long

Hi blogger friends!

It has been so long since I have posted anything. As a few of you know my hubby Doug's cancer has spread again. Talk about bad luck huh! Only six months since I had a tumor removed from my lung and now Doug has two on the same lung. I promise you it is not catchy LOL. Anyway we are both in very good spirits and still having a good laugh. Well I am. Doug has also got shingles poor bloke. Very painful stuff. I just hope it goes before his operation.

At the moment I am working on 80 wedding invitations as well as name plates for the tables. also helping my sister Sheryl make bookmarks for a charity so my stuff has been put on hold for now.

I'm afraid everyone will forget who I am if I don't craft something soon LOL. Yikes!

I'm missing my blog but first things first and Doug is my top priority at the moment. See you all soon.....I hope.
