Explosion box and not such good news

Hi all,

Just to let you know what's happening in my corner of the world. Some of you would know that my hubby Doug has gone through cancer recently having a year of chemo, once every week and five weeks of radiation everyday. His last scan has shown that he nows has Liver metastisis which means it's a cancer that spreads to other organs. He will be having an operation to remove half his liver on the 1st of next month. It's very serious and a very dangerous operation because of where the cancer is. If he gets through this operation it will mean that he has an excellent chance of  a longer life. It has been a rather hectic week with Hospital appointments etc. Soon I will need to have a break while I look after Doug but hopefully I will still be able to get some projects done.
This is my explosion box. I think I am just in time with it. I really enjoyed making it.
I hope you like it. I don't normally use pre-made flowers choosing to make my own. These are ones I have made myself. I have colored all my Tilda's with distress inks keeping the outside of the box very plain.

Tilda's on the sides

Sorry for all the pictures.

What a gorgeous card/box. I have to show it to my sister who has such fond memories of her dance classes and recitals as a child. Mother made all her costumes and she has pictures she has lovingly scrapbooked.

I will add you and your husband to my prayer list. I have a dear friend just diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer who is showing me how to be courageous and planful. Love in Christ, Shirley

Hello again Marion. This is StampinJo again. I absolutely love the explosion box you made. Your work is just grand. It is even greater because you have enough Maggies to have a different one on each quadrant. How sweet it that. I will try to find the directions so I can make one. I am in and out of a wheelchair so explosion boxes would be a fun thing for me to make. Thanks for sharing your explosion box. StampinJo

Hi Marion, just wanted to let you know you're in my thoughts over your husband's health and hope all goes well for him.
Having had my husband just go through major surgery too, it's not an easy time, just make sure you make time for yourself as well, and don't worry too much about crafting.
This is one fabulous exploding box though, really love how you've done the interior.
