Hi Blogger Friends!
Another Christmas card done. Only about 25 more. At this rate I will be here till Christmas..hehe!!
I have tried to find the name of this Tilda and haven't been successful. She is a favourite of mine. I have coloured her using Distress Inks. The rest is pretty much self explanatory.
No DP's this time. Just embossing on plain cardstock and some flowers that I coloured the edges and made the leaves.
Hi Friends!
To those that wanted to know my prgress....
I went back to the hospital yesterday for my first checkup since being out of hospital. It wasn't the best news that I would have liked. The Urologist said that because the cancer had gone outside the kidney and into the fat surrounding and the renal vein it would be more than likely the cancer will return. At the moment they have removed all the cancer that they could see and say I am cancer free at this time. The good thing is that they have a new chemo treatment for this that is meant to be very good so that is a plus if it does rear it's ugly head again.
Now onto my card....This is my first Christmas card. I thought I had better get started as I am so slow these days. I used the new Stampin Up Designer papers and cardstock and coloured Tilda with distress inks. This time I didn't make the flowers and have ones on that friends have given me (I'm very lucky).
The Tilda I used is called "Tilda with Violin" and can be brought at Diana's store here.
Hi Friends,
I thought I would try out this scrunched up flower. I have seen it a few times and don't know where it first originated. I made this one with cardstock sprayed with water to soften it and then scrucnhed it up. The punches I used are the medium retro flower punch and the large one. I also coloured the edges with some ink.
Hi,
It has been a month since I last posted. I had my operation and am slowly improving.
I don't think I would like to go through that again and hopefully I never will.
I see the Urologist on the 26th and will know more then. The cancer had spread outside the kidney but as far as I know they got it all.
This month is breast cancer awareness month. As a survivor of breast cancer I urge you all to have mamograms. It will save your life.
The card I have put on today is one that I made for my friend Patti Jo's birthday. The first one I have made for ages. I coloured her with distress inks. Hope you like it.
